The European Commission has presented a package of measures to ensure that we use natural resources sustainably. This package also includes changes aimed at reducing the amount of textile waste and ensuring proper management of this waste.
From 2025, all EU member states aim to introduce mandatory extended producer-importer responsibility for textile products placed on the market. Brands will be encouraged to reduce the amount of textile waste by ensuring circularity, improve the quality of textile products and will have to cover waste management costs.
The capacity of collection, sorting, reuse and recycling of textile waste will be financed with the monetary contributions of the Producers-Importers. The contribution will be determined taking into account the environmental performance of the textile products.
When implementing the textile manufacturer-importer's extended liability system, the aim will be to reduce the administrative burden on brands as much as possible, therefore the directive proposes to oblige organizations to carry out the principle of responsibility.
.
We invite you to join our textile waste management organization. As a member of the organization, you will perform all textile handling duties set for Producers - Importers:
You will be exempt from the environmental pollution tax, as you will directly finance waste management through the organization through government-mandated tasks.
You will contribute to educating the population about textile waste.
You will significantly contribute to the creation and development of infrastructure.
You will become a sustainable and responsible brand.
You will receive all the necessary legal advice.
You will be the first to be informed of any directive changes or news.
We invite textile waste collection, handling and processing companies to cooperate. By working together, we will achieve much better results in the field of textile waste management.
We care about:
Collect as much textile waste as possible to partner sorting centers.
Sort textiles according to need and suitability for further use or recycling.
Reuse, recycle or repair and extend the life of textiles.
Educate and motivate the public about responsible consumption and longer use of their own clothes.
To promote eco-design already in the initial stages of the development of textile products.
